About Mines

Mines is a logic deduction game on a hidden grid. Reveal safe cells, flag the bombs, and clear the board without stepping on a mine. Three difficulty levels for casual to expert. Free to play in your browser.

How to play Mines

Left-click (or tap) a cell to reveal it.
Numbers tell you how many mines touch that cell.
Right-click (or long-press on mobile) to flag a suspected mine.
Clear every safe cell to win. Step on a mine and it's over.

Reading the numbers

Every clue is a counting problem. A "1" touching exactly one unrevealed cell tells you that cell is a mine. A "2" touching two unrevealed cells tells you both are mines, which then makes the rest of their neighbors safe. The whole game is chaining tiny deductions like that.
